Six Ways To Sunday (1999) Based on Charles Perry's novel 'Portrait of a Young Man Drowning', Debbie stars as the mother of a young man who becomes drawn into a life of crime. Deb is hilarious as the obsessive matriarch who refuses to let her son grow up. She spends most of the film in a housecoat and slippers, only dressing up to challenge the rival of her son's first girlfriend. |

Downtown 81 (1981) Superb low budget New York art movie starring Jean Michel Basquait. Don't expect much of a story line, but do expect a superb soundtrack with live footage from the likes of DNA and Kid Creole. Debbie contributes to the soundtrack and has a small role as a bag lady who turns out to be a fairy princess. |

Copland (1997) Blink and you'll miss her ... Sadly most of Deborah's part in this film ended up on the cutting room floor. Supposedly the resurrection of the character 'Delores' from 'Heavy', Deb appears as a blond blur serving drinks in one of the bar room scenes. |

Drop Dead Rock (1995) Deborah appears towards the end of this film playing the part of a record company boss. Adam Ant also stars as the manager of main character Spazz-O, a superstar whose fame is not matched by his popularity. Best watched under the influence of alcohol. |

Dead Beat (1994) I haven't seen this film. A coming of age drama starring Rosanne's Sara Gilbert, Deborah has a small cameo role. |

Heavy (1994) Deborah stars as Delores, a middle aged woman living in a small town who's been around the block a few times. The arrival of a young newcomer to town (Liv Tyler) makes Delores aware of the frustration and loneliness she feels in her own life. A slow moving but enjoyable film. Deborah is unglamorous but heartbreakingly beautiful. |

Body Bags (1993) A compilation of 3 short films, Deborah stars as a nurse in the tale of a man who's fear of increasing baldness leads him to take drastic action with dire consequences. View stills. |

Tales From The Darkside 4 (1992) Deborah stars in 'The Moth', the supernatural tale of a witch who channels her soul into the form of a moth so that she can come back and reclaim her mortal body after her death. Her mother unwisely tries to interfere with the plans. |

Intimate Stranger (1991) At times violent and disturbing, Deborah stars as a phone sex worker who becomes the obsession for a woman hating murderer. |

Monsters - Reaper / Desirable
Alien (1991) A crappy, tacky production saved only by Deborah's appearance as a sexy Government Official. She falls for the charms of a restaurant owner, only to have him turn into a horn-ed beast. Doh !! |

Mother Goose - Rock 'n' Rhyme (1990) A kind of acid trip version of the children's tale, with an all-star cast including Cyndi Lauper and Paul Simon. Deborah plays the part of the Old Woman Who Lived In A Shoe, the role is a lot more glamorous than you might imagine ! View stills. |

Tales From The Darkside - The
Movie (1990) Deborah's character is preparing a dinner party and plans to pot roast an annoying little brat from down the road as the main course - serve him right too !! Sadly the little tyke outwits her and it all ends in tears. |

New York Stories (1989) Debbie appears briefly as 'Girl at Blind Alley'. |

Hairspray (1988) Deborah stars along side Divine, Sonny Bono and Ricky Lake in John Waters' tale of teenage life in 60's Baltimore. Deb is fab as the over bearing mother with an exploding hair piece, she was Miss Soft Crab in 1945 and the title wasn't handed to her on a silver platter, she worked for it ... so get up, a 1 ,2 a 1, 2, 3 ... PARTY !! |

Satisfaction (1988) I know nothing about this film, I believe Deborah has about 2 lines. |

Forever Lulu (1987) Alternatively known as 'Crazy Streets', Deborah has a strange kind of 'background' role in this film - her face appears a lot but she doesn't get to speak until one short line at the end. Hanna Schygulla stars as an everyday kind of girl who suddenly kinds herself caught up with drugs and espionage. Also stars Alec Baldwin. |

Videodrome (1983) Bit of a gore fest and not to my taste, Deborah stars as Nikki in David Cronenberg's commentary on the effects of television on society and the confusion between fiction and reality. |

Union City (1981) Deborah plays Lillian, the down trodden wife of a man who becomes obsessed with finding the identity of the man who keeps stealing their milk. The husband is insecure that his wife is more popular than he is, and is so tight he won't even buy her a new pair of shoes. This is a poignant film that has a tragic but ultimately happy ending. |

Roadie (1980) An absolutely appalling piece of cinema that I have never been able to sit through from start to finish. Stars the whole of Blondie along side Meatloaf. Sadly Debbie's performance is almost as bad as the rest of the film. What more can I say ? CACK !! |
